2024 Solventum Client Experience Summit
Post-conference mini boot camps

Aug. 15 – 16 at the Omni Dallas Hotel

Following Solventum CES

Keep the education going after Solventum Client Experience Summit (CES) with our post-conference mini boot camps. These deep dive training sessions are hosted by Solventum experts and are abbreviated versions of the weeklong trainings provided by Solventum consulting services. Four mini boot camps will run Aug. 15-16, covering advanced topics on CDI, quality, pediatrics and EAPGs. These boot camps require separate registration and payment and are pre-qualified for continuing education units (CEUs). Take advantage of these boot camps to get the most out of your Solventum CES experience.

  • Advanced quality training
  • Advanced pediatric training
  • EAPGs training

  • Who should attend?

These trainings are for seasoned CDI, coding, quality professionals, and multidisciplinary CDI teams looking to advance their programs and people looking to learn more about EAPGs.

    How much does this cost?

The advanced CDI, quality and pediatric training is $600 per attendee, and the EAPGs training is $250 per attendee. If you purchase three or more seats, you will receive a discounted rate per attendee.

    Key information

The mini camps will occur Aug. 15 - 16, after Solventum CES concludes. Attending one of the boot camps (with the exception of the EAPG boot camp) will require you to extend your stay in Dallas. Please note that as these run simultaneously, you’ll only be able to attend one.

We know travel budgets are tight and your time is valuable. We are committed to holding these boot camps only if we are able to provide the best experience. Solventum CES registration ends June 26. By June 29, we will determine whether to continue with the scheduled boot camps or look at an alternative, giving you time to change your travel plans accordingly.

    Schedule

    Aug. 15: 1 – 5 p.m. (Snacks and refreshments will be served.)

2024 Solventum CES boot camp details

This high level schedule is for travel planning. A more detailed schedule will be sent prior to each boot camp.

Advanced quality training (12 hours) – This course will dive deep into key value-based purchasing initiatives and discuss how CDI, coding and quality efforts can help or hinder an accurate reflection of the quality of care. Key concepts covered include patient safety indicators (PSIs), complication or comorbidity (CC) and major complication or comorbidity (MCC), hierarchical condition categories (HCCs), social determinants of health (SDoH), present on admission (POA) and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) readmissions.

Advanced CDI training (12 hours) – This course addresses knowledge gaps and fundamental CDI skills and will explore the clinical and coding concepts behind key major diagnostic categories (MDSCs). Learn how to help your team adapt to new technology, monitor program performance, build coding and CDI competencies and improve mid-revenue cycle business processes.

Advanced CDI pediatrics training (12 hours) – This course offers a comprehensive approach to address fundamental CDI skills with a pediatric focus. Topics covered include Medicare Severity (MS), case mix index (CMI) and 3M™ All Patient Refined Diagnosis Related Groups (3M APR DRG), the intricacies of the inpatient prospective payment system (IPPS), coding guidelines and key major diagnostic categories (MDCs). This training can prepare your CDI team to recognize the unique problems and challenges in a pediatric population, leading to more accurate documentation.

EAPG boot camp (4 hours) – This course will provide an overview and baseline knowledge of how the EAPG grouping methodology functions. You will learn how EAPGs came to be, the required data elements, and assignment logic, including packaging, consolidation and discounting. In addition, you will learn about some of the flexible payment options that the payer can use to ensure their policies can be implemented. We will focus on documentation opportunities based on the different EAPG grouping classifications. Other topics covered include how to assess your existing opportunities, ongoing monitoring efforts, and potential outcomes as a result. If EAPGs are new to you, this training can prepare you for the transition to the new grouping system, provide a clinical focus for medical visits and significant procedures, identify how current opportunities can be addressed, and create a firm foundation for managing ambulatory services.
